Anna’s therapeutic style is empathetic and warm with a personalised approach that tailors the treatment plan to meet the needs of her clients. She is passionate about supporting her clients to develop a greater understanding of their difficulties and their innate strengths, in order to help them create meaningful change and overcome their struggles so as to build a life of wellbeing in which they can live the life they want to live and be the person they want to be.

Anna’s treatment methods stem from a combination of evidence-based therapies that is grounded in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy. She is trained in the use of Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy for trauma reprocessing, and also uses a range of techniques from adjunctive therapies as needed in order to support her clients to achieve their treatment goals including: Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Schema Therapy, grief counselling, skills training, relaxation and mindfulness.

Anna has a special interest in perinatal mental health and supporting new mums with their matrescence journey. As a mum of 2 herself, Anna has experienced the ups and downs of the matrescence journey first hand. She also went through the transition to parenthood in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, and is able to provide her clients with a unique level of understanding and support around the challenges of becoming a parent in the Covid-19 era. Anna knows that the reality of becoming a parent can be very different to what we hoped for, and that past trauma can be retriggered during the planning and perinatal period adding further challenges for the transition to parenthood. Anna is particularly passionate about removing the silence and stigma around talking about the challenges of the matrescene journey, and aims to empower her clients to honestly explore and work through their struggles with adjustment to parenthood and rebuilding their identity as a new mum.

Anna is also passionate about supporting people to heal from trauma (in particular PTSD and attachment trauma) and grief and loss using EMDR therapy. Her wide range of experience has shown that that life gets bumpy at times for everyone and can leave deep emotional wounds. She knows that it can too easily feel like you are alone in this burden, and aims to provide a safe and supportive space for people to share and heal, that is built on unconditional positive regard, honesty and trust. She believe there is great courage and strength in honestly and unapologetically sharing your story, in reaching out for help.

I cannot recommend Lisa highly enough. Such a beautiful, authentic, caring practitioner in all of her modalities and her knowledge is always current, tailored and effective. I certainly would not feel as supported in my life energetically, naturopathically or emotionally without her. Thank you for everything Lisa.
