Natalie Jarvis

Counsellor and Autism Consultant

Natalie is a counsellor and autism consultant that is passionate about providing support to families who have a member with autism.

She has spent the past decade working for Aspect Central Coast, a well-respected organisation specifically designed to provide education to students with autism, as a teacher’s aide and then a teacher. Due to this role and further study Natalie has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience in understanding autism, the effects on the individual as well as the entire family.

Natalie has a Bachelor of Psychology, a Master of Teaching and a Diploma of counselling which has enabled her to create a service for families that provides immediate support and clarity in an often-overwhelming time in their lives. Natalie aims is to prepare and support families in navigating and understanding what autism is and how to navigate life with this diagnosis.

 Parents are the experts on their children and their needs. Natalie works collaboratively with families to bridge the gap between getting a diagnosis and understanding autism and their child’s needs. She provides a range of a support including:

Support in understanding the diagnosis

Providing counselling for emotional support and the grief associated with the diagnosis

Behaviour support

Visual tools to improve communication

Emotional regulation and be there for emotional support for the family
